I did a lot of research before selecting the TC-L32S1. The TV was rated high on Consumer Reports as well and it had all the features I was looking for. I had read quite a few reviews and in the negative reviews I read people had complained about the sound on the set. Most of those reviews were earlier in 2009 and many of the positive reviews were later in the year. So I figured Panasonic must have fixed the sound issue. I was wrong.

The TV was purchased for our bedroom. We had it about 4 days and after watching it for about 1/2 an hour the sound would get full of static then the volume would go low and eventually you couldn't hear it at all. I tried muting the set and then taking mute off. No change. We had to turn the set off and back on in order for the sound to work again. But even then the sound would cut out after a few more minutes of operation. We tried it another couple days and the same thing happened after about 1/2 hour of watching. We had the set turned on for less than 5 hours in the 8 days we had it.

I sent it back to Amazon. That process was a breeze. Now I have started the process of looking for another TV all over again. I'm disappointed in this Panasonic model but it would not prevent me from trying another Panasonic TV.
